We are a homegrown start-up based out of Des Moines, IA. We have our Better Process Control School Certification from the University of Nebraska, and are ServSafe certified. We take all precautions while blending up our delicious sauce. As we grow, we will move into a commercial kitchen, but for now we're a homegrown and homemade sauce company. We take pride in the product we sell and we're really proud and thankful to be able to share it with you.

Yes! Although we're not technically "certified organic" we grow all of our peppers organically. All natural and no pesticides.

You'll find a bottled date on each of our sauces. When the unopened product is stored in a cool and dry environment they have a shelf life of 2 years. Once opened, and stored in a fridge, it's best to use the sauce within 1 year.

No. At this time we only sell online and at various farmers markets around Des Moines in the summer. Check out our market schedule to find us!

We sell starter pepper plants at the farmers market in May and fresh pepper pods at the markets in August and September. Check our market schedule or reach out to us to see what we have available.

We do our best to get your order to you as soon as possible. At most, we ship out orders within 3 business days of purchase. In most cases, domestic (US) orders arrive within 2-6 days of being received by the shipping carrier (usually USPS). 

We offer FREE local delivery within the Des Moines area. Most orders will be delivered within 2-3 business days.

Our sauce comes in glass bottles and while we do our very best to make sure the sauce gets to you in one piece, sometimes accidents happen. Don't worry, though - we'll take care of you. If the item is damaged or if you receive the wrong item, please email a picture at iowapepperco@gmail.com so we can make it right.

All sales for hot sauce are final and we cannot receive a returned item (unless we accidentally sent you the wrong item, and the sauce is unopened). If you have an issue with a merchandise item, such as clothing, please contact us at iowapepperco@gmail.com

No. At this time we only sell direct to consumer. Buying our sauce and reselling it is prohibited.
